About this studio
Flamenco del Lago is a company of flamenco artists and instructors based at Studio Zamarad on South State Street in South Salt Lake, Utah. The group both teaches and performs flamenco throughout Salt Lake City and the wider state, appearing at weddings, birthdays, festivals and fundraisers, including the Utah Arts Festival. Classes are open to all levels and are aimed principally at adults: the current timetable lists beginner, intermediate and intermediate/advanced flamenco dance, a daytime beginner/intermediate class, an online intermediate/advanced class taught on Zoom, and technique classes devoted to props such as castanets and the mantón shawl. A free monthly flamenco class for senior dancers is also offered, along with private classes by arrangement.
