About this studio
Dianne's School of Dance is at 7601 White Horse Road in Greenville, South Carolina, and was opened 52 years ago by Dianne Cheek, who wanted to give children a place to love dance and learn life lessons. She has taught more than 10,000 children across three generations, specializes in tap and now teaches the pre-school combination classes. Co-owner and artistic director Lacey McKinney has been with the school for 45 years and taught for 30, studied under choreographers including Travis Wall, Mia Michaels, Ray Leeper and Frank Hatchett, and judges competitions regionally and nationally. Hoyt Starkey, on staff 34 years, co-directs the STARZ Artistic Cloggers.
