THE BOXER Opens 8/19 at Plano Children's Theatre

THE BOXER will play at the Plano Children's Theatre from August 19 through August 27.

When a young girl must choose between starvation and taking a man's job, she gladly puts on the trousers. She becomes the trainer of a down and out boxer with whom she falls in love. The only trouble is he thinks she is a he!

Part Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and a whole lot of fun, this multi media production uses live music, percussion, video and subtitles to accompany an pantomime performance! Directed by Jeff Swearingen who orignated the role with playwright, Matt Lyle. Jeff also won the 2009 Best Actor Award from the Column Awards with this production.
