Shakespeare Dallas To Perform OTHELLO For Fall Shakespeare In The Park "But I will wear my heart on my sleeve" as Shakespeare Dallas performs one of Shakespeare's classic tragedies for the fall 2018 season of Shakespeare in the Park.

The fall 2018 season will perform Othello, a classic drama about a noble general whose life and marriage are sabotaged by theater's most infamous villain. In Shakespeare Dallas' rendition, Othello is set amid war and palace intrigue in the early 20th-century Mediterranean region. The performance will be directed by Mason York.

"Othello remains Shakespeare's most urgent and relevant tale today," said Raphael Parry, Artistic and Executive Director. "Audiences will see a lush, romantic vision give way to a violent tangle of love, jealousy, race and revenge in this must-see production of one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies."

This season's Othello will also boast scenes directed by Chicago-based Rachel Flesher, a combat choreographer who will direct the various fight scenes in the performance.

Othello will perform Wednesdays-Sundays from Sept. 19 (Preview night) through Sept. 29 at Samuell-Grand Amphitheater, and will then move to Addison Circle Park from October 4-14. All fall performances begin at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $10 on Thursdays and Sundays and $15 on Fridays and Saturdays. Students and seniors pay reduced rates, and military personnel and their families are free. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are pay-as-you-can evenings. Tickets may be purchased at the gate or online. Additional information is available at http://www.shakespearedallas.org or 214-559-2778.
