Rover Dramawerks Presents RABBIT HOLE, Opens 1/21

By:

Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present Rabbit Hole, by David Linsday-Abaire, opening on Thursday, January 21. Performances will be at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater), continuing through February 13, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Becca and Howie (played by Morgan Justiss and Matt Gunther) have everything a family could want until the unthinkable happens, turning their world upside down. Their well-meaning family members do their best to help (and deal with the tragedy themselves), as everyone tries to come to grips with their grief. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them all back into the light of day. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize Winning Play for Drama.

Rounding out the talented cast are Taylor Granlund as Izzy, Margaret Lyman as Nat, and Barret Lewis as Jason.
Rick Tuman directs, with Jan Toms as Assistant Director/Stage Manager. Clint Alan Ray is set designer, Paul McKenzie is costume designer, and Kelly Williams is properties designer. Scott Row is lighting designer, with Jason Rice as sound designer.

Tickets for Rabbit Hole are $15.00 on Thursdays and matinees and $18.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Thursday, January 21 is Preview Night, and all seats are "pay-what-you-can." The following Thursday, January 28, Rover Dramawerks invites all patrons to a reception after the performance with the cast, director, and designers, as well as Rover board members.

Rabbit Hole is the second show in Rover Dramawerks' 10th Anniversary Season - A Year of Premieres, and is the Collin County premiere of the award-winning play. Tickets for Rabbit Hole may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com, and season tickets are also available.

Season sponsors include the Dale Wasserman Foundation, Lake & Lucas Joint Venture, the City of Plano, Plano Arts and Cultural Endowment, and Texas Commission on the Arts. For more information, please call 972-849-0358 or visit www.roverdramawerks.com.
