Regional Premiere of RED RIDING HOOD Announced for Casa Mañana Theatre

Casa Mañana Theatre and Regions present the regional premiere of Red Riding Hood, as part of the 2016-2017 Children's Theatre season. Tickets are on sale now.

A bewitching new musical, Red Riding Hood tells an uplifting story of brave Red, who must journey through the forest to reunite herfamily and save her mother's bakery from closing down. Will she reach Grandma's house in time? Or will the charming Big Bad Wolf distract her from her quest? Join Red on her journey into the woods, where no one is who they seem and adventure waits at every turn! This show is suitable for all audiences.

The cast includes Molly Franco as "Red," James Chandler as "Wolf," Kylie Arnold as "Mother," Deborah Brown as "Grandmother" and Laura Wetsel as "Wilma the Woodcutter." Ms. Franco is a Casa Kid and Apprentice Program alum and recent graduate of Rider University. Mr. Chandler, Ms. Arnold, Ms. Brown and Ms. Wetsel are all veterans of the Casa stage.

Noah Putterman will direct. Mr. Putterman is in his fourth season at Casa, where he has directed acclaimed productions including Children of Eden and the world premiere of Santa Claus: A New Musical. Additional creative team members include Sarah Gay as music director, Samuel Rushen as lighting designer, Katie Dill as scenic designer, Kyle McCord as Sound Designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as hair, wig and make-up designer.

Ticket prices range from $16 to $37 and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by visiting www.casamanana.org. Tickets are also available at the Casa Mañana Theatre box office, 3101 West Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth.

  • Friday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m.
