Jubilee Theatre continues the 2009-2010 season with an original holiday musical written and directed by Ed Smith. Home for the Holidays will officially open December 4 and continue through December 27. Come celebrate the holiday season with Jubilee Theatre in the heart of Sundance Square's festive entertainment district. Just one block from the Sundance Square Christmas Tree! Jubilee will host Sundays with Santa for the run of this production. Don't forget the kiddos and your cameras on Sundays. There will be plenty of photo opportunities with a culturally diverse Santa during the Sunday matinee performances.

Home for the Holidays unfolds in an airport terminal. When a group of travelers get stranded in the airport over the holidays due to a snowstorm, each one has their own story to tell. Among the group is a soldier eager to return home to his family and his hero's welcome. Will the travelers let the stress of the holiday season take over, or will they remain optimistic by remembering the reason for the season? With poignant stories and uplifting songs, this original musical includes holiday music from hip-hop to gospel.

Directed by Ed Smith, Home for the Holidays features an accomplished cast of Jubilee favorites: Tyianka Bell, Demetrius Ethley, Mikala Gibson, Lashada Jackson, Altie Jenkins, Saundra Peterson, Lorens Portalatin, Durant Searcy, and Robert Rouse. The production staff for this show includes set design by George Miller, costume design by Sheran Goodspeed Keyton, choreography by LaWonda Hunter, and music direction by Joe Rogers.

Single tickets for this production as well as season tickets are available now. Home for the Holidays opens December 4, and the show runs December 4 through December 27. Performances are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. A post performance talkback with the artists and special guests will be held on December 20.
