Amphibian Stage Productions Hosts NEXT LEAP 2014 Today

By:

Amphibian Stage Productions announces Next Leap 2014: All That Jazz~Guilty Pleasure Tour today, October 3 2014. The annual fundraising event promises to be "the best time you never said you had," by reveling in guilty pleasures and the New Orleans jazz culture with honorary chair Adonis Rose. The Next Leap 2014 Guilty Pleasure Tour will be held at Amphibian's home at 120 South Main Street in Fort Worth.

The party will bring the best of New Orleans to the Near Southside with live jazz by the Grammy-winning drummer Adonis Rose and his friends, Cajun cuisine, drinks, and guest appearances by Amphibian's favorite performers. Each area of the theater will be designed by a different architect to celebrate a special aspect of jazz. This includes a VIP speakeasy lounge just for sponsors created by FIRM 817, owned by Tracy and Joe Self.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Mr. Rose moved to Fort Worth shortly after Hurricane Katrina and founded the Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra. He won a Grammy in 2010 for his work on the album "Book One" with Irvin Mayfield and The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra.

In addition to honorary chair Adonis Rose, Next Leap's co-chairs are husband and wife architects Paul and Sandra Dennehy. "Sandy and I are honored to co-chair the dedicated Next Leap 2014 committee," Paul Dennehy said. "We love the work Amphibian does here in Fort Worth. Every production creates a wonderful pause or challenge to our thoughts...a laugh...or provokes question." The Dennehys lead the architectural firm Dennehy Architects and have designed substantial community centers, homes, and churches across North Texas.

Other members of the Next Leap 2014 Steering Committee include: JD Angle, Dan Barrett, Kay Bolz, Joel Burns, Jenny Conn, Cory Coons, James Duff, Ginger Gearhart, Beth Gideon, James Gorski, Susanna Gorski, Tina Gorski, Harriet Harral, Paul Harral, Megan Henderson, Cynthia Hodgkins, Greg Ibanez, Meda Kessler, Nancy Lamb, LaLonnie Lehman, Fran McCarthy, Sherry Miles, Susan Motheral, Rosa Navejar, Judy Norman, Vicki Owen, Charles Reid, Tracy & Joe Self, Barb Sikma, Kathy Spicer, Whit Smith, Dave Stovall, Michael Toole, Holley Williams, and Hoong Nan Young.

The Next Leap 2014: All That Jazz~Guilty Pleasure Tour will take place on October 3, 2014, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Amphibian Stage Productions in Fort Worth. Single tickets are available at $125 each, as well as sponsorships starting at $500.
