Amphibian Stage Productions Announces National Theatre Live Screenings

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) today announced an additional offering in its National Theatre Live screening series for 2013, presented in association with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (Marla Price, Director). In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the National Theatre presents National Theatre: 50 Years on Stage, bringing together the best British actors for unique evenings of unforgettable performances broadcast live from London to cinemas around the world.

Appearing on stage in this once-in-a-lifetime event, directed by the National Theatre's current Director Nicholas Hytner, will be award-winning actorsBenedict Cumberbatch, Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, Frances de la Tour, Simon Russell Beale, Penelope Wilton, Rory Kinnear, Adrian Lester, Alex Jennings, AnDrew Scott and Anna Maxwell Martin, with more to be announced.

Covering iconic productions from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead to The History Boys, from Antony and Cleopatra to Angels in America, fromGuys and Dolls to London Road, this will be a thrilling season of live performances and rare glimpses from the National Theatre archive.

Distributed internationally by BY Experience, National Theatre Live is an initiative to broadcast live performances from the National Theatre's stages to theaters worldwide. In Fort Worth, the screenings are presented exclusively at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, courtesy of Amphibian Stage Productions. Fort Worth screenings of National Theatre Live began in the fall of 2011.

Tickets to National Theatre Live screenings are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students. Members of Amphibian Stage Productions and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth receive an additional $5 discount.
