Manxmouse does not mind being different and displays great confidence and bravery while setting out on an exciting new adventure and coming face to face with destiny. Based on the novel Manxmouse by Paul Gallico, Theatergroep Kwatta performs the delightful tale of Manxmouse: The Mouse Who Knew No Fear, making its North American debut at Segerstrom Center for the Arts October 18 & 19 in Samueli Theater.

Southern Californian soccer fans have a new way to celebrate the exciting games of the 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM in an even bigger way as Segerstrom Center for the Arts announces two free World CupTM Viewing Parties on the Center's inviting 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza. As the world comes together to watch this most widely viewed sporting event, the Center will host viewing parties today, July 12 at 1 p.m. during the game that will determine play-off for third place and on Sunday, July 13 at 12 p.m. for the final game. The Arts Plaza will open one hour prior to each match.

Garden Grove is about to get a whole lot funnier with the integration of the critically acclaimed Troubadour Theatre Company's rendition of A Midsummer Saturday Night's Fever Dream in Shakespeare/Summerfest Orange County's 2014 season. This play-off of Shakespeare's classic comedy, directed by Matt Walker, tells this story of magic potions and foolish lovers through some of disco's greatest hits. The production includes a cast made up of acrobats, musicians, improvisers, and clowns, as well as a four piece band and an almost entirely improvised second act.

Singer and songwriter Amos Lee will make his Segerstrom Center for the Arts debut on Wednesday, August 6 at 8 p.m. in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall as part of the second leg of his 2014 Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song Tour. His recent fall and winter headline tour included sold-out shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, ACL Live in Austin and the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Lee will be joined by band members, Freddie Berman, drums; Zach Djanikian, mandolin; Annie Clements, bass and vocals; Andy Keenan, guitar, banjo and vocals; and Jaron Olevsky, keyboards.

Local singer and actor Jerome Elliott presents Up In Flames at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2 PM. Up in Flames is Elliott's seventh original cabaret show since 2008, following such critically acclaimed shows as Bat Out of Jersey, A Dry Heat, Crawling Back to Broadway, and Sweet Nerd of Youth. Audiences can expect Elliott's trademark witty repartee as he performs a program of "songs so hot, they're cool!" His longtime accompanist and collaborator Charlie Creasy will join him onstage, with a special appearance by Keisha D, Elliott's duet partner for the past two years.
