The nationally acclaimed Spring Dance Theatre, coordinated by CSUF Dance Professor Gladys Kares, begins tonight, May 5, and continues through May 15, 2016 in the Little Theatre on Cal State Fullerton's campus. Spring Dance Theatre includes original choreography by students, faculty, and guest artists. CSUF dancers were recently featured at Washington DC's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The Board of Directors of Pacific Chorale, the resident choir of Segerstrom Center for the Arts, has announced its 2016-2017 season, the final season for its long-serving Artistic Director, John Alexander. The season will mark the organization's 49th season and will be John Alexander's 45th conducting the internationally acclaimed 140-member choir.

Laguna Playhouse Names Interim Executive Director

Laguna Playhouse Board of Directors announced today that, later this month, Ellen Richard will be joining Laguna Playhouse as its Interim Executive Director. The Playhouse announced late last year that it was undertaking a national search guided by Arts Consulting Group (ACG) for an Executive Director to succeed Karen Wood who had held this position for the past eight years.

At the center of the story is a Thai/Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant, The Golden Dragon, where a young Chinese man suffering from an oversensitive incisor sparks a whacked and weird series of interconnected stories. A delicious mixture of epic theatre, bizarre comedy, poetry, and fable combine to create this fabulous pho.

Latin superstar Gloria Trevi will make her Segerstrom Center for the Arts debut during the El Amor World Tour coming to Segerstrom Hall on October 2, 2016. In addition to announcing her tour, Gloria Trevi premiered her new single "Inmortal," the first original track off of her most recent album El Amor. The song was written by Trevi, Claudia Brant and Motiff with lyrics that captivate and a voice that compels. Trevi was inspired by Maru Vasquez. Vasquez was the president of her fan club in Los Angeles for several years and passed away a year and a half ago. Gloria dedicates this song to her and has given her 14-year-old son Jorge Cruz a percentage to help him with his studies.
