LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT present the fourth show of their 2015-2016 season, an all-new spectacular DREAMGIRLS, book and lyrics by Tom Eyen, music by Henry Krieger, musical direction by Dennis Castellano and directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom.  DREAMGIRLS opened on Saturday, March 26 and will run through Sunday, April 17, 2016 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts Department of Drama presents Henrik Ibsen's classic An Enemy of the People, an examination of societal dynamics that is perhaps even more relevant today than when it was written in 1882. At the heart of this story is individual truth-telling versus popular opinion, the ulterior motives of economic interests, and the question of whether truth is ever absolute. In Ibsen's words, spoken by the play's idealistic Dr. Stockmann, 'Truth shifts. You don't seem to realize that over the centuries what were truths reconfigure as lies.'

The multi-platinum rock group The Go-Go's will embark on their farewell tour this summer to commemorate a groundbreaking 38 years in the music industry. Kicking off August 2 in Clearwater, FL, the month-long trek will hit major cities including New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. before wrapping in Southern California at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on August 28 and Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre on August 30. The tour will feature members Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock and Jane Wiedlin performing their timeless catalog. L.A. based rock duo Best Coast will appear as special guests on most dates and rising star Kaya Stewart will open all shows.

Cal State Fullerton's production of Shakespeare's comedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor, runs March 11-March 26, 2016 in the Young Theatre on campus.  Helmed by director Sarah Ripper, The Merry Wives of Windsor was first published in 1602 and follows the character Falstaff who courts two wealthy married women, sending them identical love letters. When the two women find out about each other's letters, they pretend to respond to Falstaff's advances for their own amusement and to gain revenge.
