Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Broadway's Tony Award-winning show Come From Away - that is playing at the Center now through February 17 - have accepted a challenge to perform random acts of kindness from The SAKtivists [Student Acts of Kindness] of Trabuco Mesa Elementary in Saddleback Valley Unified School District.

The sixth grade SAKtivists have been challenging other schools, students and faculties to make the world a better place through random acts of kindness since6. Inspired by the story Come From Away, which relates the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers from around the world and the people of Gander, Newfoundland who welcomed them, the students have been challenging cast members as they cross the country.

The students will participate in the Center's first We All Have Stories - Kindness community event on Saturday, February 16. We All Have Stories will explore all forms of storytelling, from traditional to technological. We All Have Stories - Kindness will be FREE and held on the Julianne and George Agyros Plaza.

This inaugural event is dedicated to promoting global kindness and compassion. Come From Away cast members who accepted the challenges will join the Trabuco Mesa Elementary students on stage as they share stories of their own random acts of kindness and others they have heard about or experienced.
