Segerstrom Center Presents HAMILTUNES: AN AMERICAN SING-ALONG, Hosted by Seth Rudetsky

Segerstrom Center for the Arts invites fans and fanatics of Broadway's mega hit Hamilton to gather on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza and let their collective voices ring out during HAMILTUNES : AN AMERICAN SING - ALONG. Everyone is a star in this fun community sing - along on Saturday, March 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. ( between the 2 : 00 p.m. and 7 : 3 0 p.m. performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein's T he King and I in Segerstrom Hall ). Costumes are enc ouraged !

HAMILTUNES : AN AMERICAN SING - ALONG will be hosted by three - time Emmy Award - nominated Broadway conductor, pianist, comedian, writer, SiriusXM Broadway channel deejay, and host of his own talk show, Seth Rudetsky.

Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award and Gr ammy Award - winner Lin - Manuel Miranda, who wrote the book, music and lyrics for Hamilton, said of Rudetsky, " If Seth Rudetsky didn't exist, we'd have to invent him. He is the friend who points out everything glorious and silly about your favorite shows. He leaves you laughing helplessly and in awe of his gifts .... "

HAMILTUNES is absolutely FREE, and there are many ways to participate. For those with stage fright - join t he chorus of your Hamil friends who will share the Argyros Plaza with you. Those who aspire t o portray s olo roles must sign up in advance on the Center's website at www.SCFTA.org and answer three questions : What songs w ould you like to sing ?, What role would you like to portray ?, and Within the role you would like to portray, which of that character's songs would you like to sing ? No previous experience anywhere is required. Casting is at random on the evening of the sho w. Some roles may be multi - cast, with several people portraying the same character. Individuals singing solo roles will be coached and rehearsed by Mr. Rudetsky prior to the performance.

Who will portray King George ? Who will be Aaron Burr ? Who will be the Schuyler sisters ? And ... who will be the evening's Alexander Hamilton ? Seth Rudetsky Seth Rudetsky spent many years on Broadway as a pianist and conductor as well as two years as a comedy writer on The Rosie O'Donnell Show ( three Emmy nominations ). He is now the afternoon deejay on the SiriusXM Broadway channel as well as the host of the talk show Seth Speaks. He's performed his show, Deconstructing Broadway in London, Boston ( Irne Award ) and Los Angeles ( with Barbra Streisand in the audience ! ). He co - wrote and co - starred in Disaster ! ( NY Times Critic's Pick ! ) on Broadway which is now playing all around the cou ntry.

Rudetsky wrote Seth's Broadway Diary Volumes v olumes 1, 2 and the just release volume 3, and has also authored two young adult novels ; My Awesome / Awful Popularity Plan and The Rise And Fall Of A Theater Geek. He and his husband produced the W hat The World Needs Now Is Love recording with Broadway Records, featuring numerous Broadway stars, including Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald, Lin - Manuel Miranda, Carole King and so many more to help the victims and families of the Orlando shooting. He runs Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise which is traveling next to the Norwegian Fjords with Chita Rivers.
