MOVE – BEYOND – LIVE ON TOUR Performance Cancelled at Van Wezel

By: Mar. 27, 2017

Regretfully, the Van Wezel must announce the cancellation of the highly-anticipated Julianne and Derek Hough: Move - Beyond - Live on Tour which was scheduled for May 14, due to an unavoidable professional conflict on Ms. Hough's part, who has issued the following statement:

"Last year, I was honored to be asked by The Miss Universe Organization to Executive Produce and act as Host and Creative Producer for the 2016 Miss USA telecast. It was the beginning of a long-term relationship, with the understanding I would return again this year to continue to use this platform as a way to encourage and uplift young women to make a positive difference in the world. It was our intention that the live telecast would be scheduled on a dark date for the tour, but unfortunately, in spite of extraordinary efforts on the part of everyone involved, that was not to be the case. For numerous reasons beyond our control, the date changed and, sadly, conflicted with our visit to Sarasota and the tight schedule for the remainder of the tour made it impossible to re-schedule. As our fans know, it is devastating to me to disappoint them and I look forward to seeing all of our fans in that area again soon."

Mary Bensel, Executive Director of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall stated "We certainly hope we can bring Derek and Julianne Hough back to the Van Wezel in the near future."

Patrons who still wish to see Move - Beyond - Live on Tour may wish to check for tickets at Ruth Eckerd Hall as there are two performances there on May 13 at 3PM and 8PM. Tickets for the Van Wezel show cannot be used at Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Patrons who have purchased tickets are asked to contact the Box Office by calling 941-953-3368.
