Eden Espinosa, David Burnham and More Set for APACF's 'Great Gatsby Weekend'

The Anaheim Performing Arts Center Foundation (APACF) (www.apacf.org) has announced the third annual GREAT GATSBY WEEKEND which is to be held today and tomorrow, August 24 & 25 at Fox Pointe Manor and the Lost World Estate, the magnificent estate residences of Dr. Howard and Linda Knohl and Patrick and Jolynn Mahoney in Anaheim Hills.

Local dignitaries and celebrities scheduled to attend the Great Gatsby Gala are Bill Handel from KFI Radio; Jay Buress, President of the Anaheim Orange County Convention and Visitor Bureau; Anaheim City Councilmember Lucille Kring; Anaheim City Councilmember Jordan Brandman; and Hollywood director Joel Zwick.

Guests will be treated to a private concert from Anaheim native and Broadway star Eden Espinosa (Broadway: "Wicked," "Rent," "Flora the Red Menace") as headlining entertainment for the Great Gatsby Weekend Fundraiser. Ms. Espinosa was born and raised in Anaheim. She is most recognized for her portrayal of Elphaba in the Broadway production of "Wicked." She has also performed the role of the green witch to critical acclaim in both Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Also appearing on stage will be Broadway star David Burnham ("Wicked," "The Light in the Piazza"). Mr. Burnham was last seen on Broadway in the mega-hit musical "Wicked" playing Fiyero, a role that he originated in the developmental workshops of the show. He is an original Broadway cast member of the musical "The Light In The Piazza," performing both on the Tony Awards and the PBS telecast "Live From Lincoln Center." He is the recipient of the prestigious Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor as well as the Best Actor Garland Award for his portrayal of Fabrizio in the national tour of "The Light in the Piazza."
Honorary Chairperson for the GREAT GATSBY WEEKEND is Joel Zwick. Mr. Zwick is a film, television and theater director and is best known for his work on "Perfect Strangers," "Full House" and "Family Matters" as well as directing the theatrical films "Glory," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Second Sight" and "Fat Albert."

After only a few years, the GREAT GATSBY WEEKEND has become one of the most fashionable and heavily anticipated fundraising events in Orange County.

Saturday: Enjoy fine wine, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction at The Lost World Estate home of Patrick and Jolynn Mahoney, followed by sumptuous dinner and stellar entertainment under the stars at Dr. Howard & Linda Knohl's Fox Pointe Manor.

Sunday: Delight in an afternoon with a festival of wine and beer tastings, fine food from some of the best restaurants in the Anaheim area, and a unique shopping experience and blues entertainment as well as sports viewing in the beer garden on the Great Lawn at Fox Pointe Manor.
