As the final production of its 54th season, the Costa Mesa Playhouse presents the Tony Award-winning, puppet-filled musical "Avenue Q," running March 22 through April 21.

Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q is a truly unique show that has become a favorite for audiences everywhere. Although the show addresses humorous adult issues, it is similar to a beloved children's show; a place where puppets are friends, Monsters are good and life lessons are learned. Not appropriate for young children.

"Avenue Q" is directed by Scott Silson, puppet master at Disney Parks & Resorts, and musical directed by Briana Harley. The cast includes Zachary Balagot, Bachi Dillague, Andrew Cano, Cole Fletcher, Peter Hilton, Marissa Musial, Natasha Reese and Rachel Williams.

The March 22 performance is a preview for which all seats are "pay what you will." March 22 is the opening night Gala, which includes a post-show reception. Gala tickets are $25 general and $23 for students and seniors. For all other performances, tickets are $22 general and $20 for students and seniors. Groups of 10 or more are $15 each. Performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Reservations can be made at www.costamesaplayhouse.com or by calling 949-650-5269. The playhouse is located at 661 Hamilton Street in Costa Mesa.
