Segerstrom Center presents Platinum Award-winning singer-songwriter and Tony Award® nominated actress Ann Hampton Callaway May 7 - 9 in Samueli Theater. In her show - The Streisand Songbook - Callaway performs songs made classics by her musical heroine, the incomparable Barbra Streisand, though giving them her own personal style. Selections will come from Streisand's unforgettable catalogue of hits made during her multi-faceted, five-decade career that includes Broadway, film and concept albums. Callaway weaves humorous and inspiring anecdotes of how Streisand began as a role model for her and evolved into a mentor and even recording Callaway's songs on six of her recent CDs, including "I've Dreamed of You," the song that Streisand sang on her wedding day.

"Equally important, Callaway has the smarts to make the proper selections from Streisand's vast repertoire, largely selecting songs that, while known for their recordings by Streisand, can still be made the singer's own," states TheaterMania.com.

Tickets for Ann Hampton Callaway: The Streisand Songbook start at $79 and are now available online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling (714) 556-2787. For inquiries about group ticket savings for 10 or more, call the Group Services office at (714) 755-0236. The TTY number is (714) 556-2746.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts applauds special underwriting support from Steve and Herma Brenneis. Kia is the Official Automotive Partner of the Center and United Airlines is the Official Airline of the Center.

Callaway debuted The Streisand Songbook with the Boston Pops and continues to tour the show with leading orchestras across the country. After conducting Callaway performing the Songbook with the San Francisco Symphony, Randall Fleischer said, "Ann's tribute to Streisand is a glorious evening of great songs, brilliantly orchestrated and sung magnificently." After performing the show at 54 Below, she garnered two BroadwayWorld.com Awards and the 2013 MAC Award for Show of the Year.

One of the leading champions of the Great American Songbook, Ann Hampton Callaway has made her mark as a singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger, actress, educator, TV host and producer. She won the Theater World Award and received a Tony nomination for her starring role in the Broadway musical Swing! Callaway made her Hollywood screen debut in Robert DeNiro's The Good Shepherd and was featured in the soundtrack of Queen Latifah's Last Holiday. She has written more than 250 songs including two Platinum Award winning hits for Barbra Streisand and the theme for the hit TV series The Nanny.
