We Met at Grossinger's at Garde Arts Center

A documentary tracing the rise of the Jewish Catskills, once known as the Borscht Belt, centered on Grossinger's Resort and Hotel, the real-life inspiration for the setting of Dirty Dancing. The Connecticut premiere screening includes a post-film discussion with director Paula Eiselt, producer Robert Friedman, and Mitchell Grossinger Etess, the last general manager of Grossinger's Resort. The event also features a special exhibit of artifacts from the Borscht Belt Museum's collection.
