By:

The Windham Theatre Guild proudly presents a touching, funny and warmly perceptive study of a spirited and lovable elderly couple facing their twilight years...On Golden Pond, written by Ernest Thompson, opening Friday, September 17th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre.

This is a warm, autumnal love story about Norman and Ethel Thayer who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond in Maine for the 48th year. They are soon joined by daughter Chelsea, her fiance Bill and his thirteen year old son Billy. The result is an evening of comedy, old hurts, and loving relationships as the Thayers open their home to their grandson, who grows older as they grow young again.

On Golden Pond marks Barry's fourth production with the WTG, having previously directed the thriller Wait Until Dark stage managed The Movie Game and acted in The Odd Couple. Barry is also the co-editor of the book recently published by Wiley and Sons, "The Handbook of Multicultural Counseling Competencies."
