TriArts Sharon Playhouse Opens FALSETTOS Tonight; Original Broadway Cast Comes to Tomorrow's Talkback

TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, presents William Finn and James Lapine's Tony-winning musical Falsettos, tongiht, July 11 through the 20th.

Directed by John Simpkins the production stars Kyle Barisich (The Phantom of the Opera) as Marvin and Leslie Henstock as Trina (A Christmas Story and The Light in the Piazza national tours), Donald Coggin (Whizzer), Brent Schraff (Mendel), Tyler Altomari (Jason), Jane Bruce (Dr. Charlotte), and Danielle Gimbal (Cordelia).

Winner of Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score, the shows tells the tale of Marvin - who leaves his wife and child for another man - and the sometimes hilarious, sometimes disastrous, always heart-filled and human ways they try to celebrate a different kind of family.

John Simpkins directs, with choreography by Connor Gallagher and music direction by Joshua Zecher- Ross. The production is designed by Michael Schweikardt, costumes by Michelle Eden Humphrey, Chris Dallos (lights), and Brad Berridge (sound). Geoff Josselson is casting director. Thomas J. Coppola is production stage manager.

Original Broadway cast members Michael Rupert, Stephen Bogardus, Chip Zien, Jonathan C. Kaplan, and Heather MacRae, will be attending tomorrow's performances (July 12) and will be doing a post-show talkback.

Performances of Falsettos are tonight, July 11 at 8pm; Saturday, July 12 at 3pm & 8pm; Sunday, July 13 at 5:30pm; Thursday, July 17 at 2pm & 7pm; Friday, July 18 at 8pm; Saturday, July 19 at 3pm & 8pm, and Sunday, July 20 at 1pm & 5:30pm.
