The Wilton Playshop Presents Dancing at Lughnasa - Opening October 18
By: Robert Diamond
Tickets are on sale now, for October 18, 19, 20 and October 24, 25, 26. Dancing at Lughnasa is written by Brian Friel and directed by Mat Young.
A poignant memory play set in 1936 told through the eyes of Michael Evans, who introduces us to the five women who raised him. Into their lives comes a handsome stranger and their first radio. From these small events spring the cracks that will change the foundation of the family forever.
"This play does exactly what theater was born to do, carrying both its characters and audience aloft on those waves of distant music and ecstatic release that, in defiance of all language and logic, let us dance and dream just before night must fall." - Frank Rich, The New York Times.
