The Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education Presents LUCKY STIFF, 5/17-19

By:

The Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education's Performance Lab students will present LUCKY STIFF May 17-19 in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's LUCKY STIFF is a zany, offbeat, and very funny murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds, and a corpse in a wheelchair. The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently-murdered Atlantic City uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn, or else to the gun-toting wife of the casino owner! A madcap mystery filled with music and mayhem, LUCKY STIFF is a sure bet!

Directed by Warner Theatre Director of Education, Isabel Carrington with music directed by David Anctil, LUCKY STIFF cast includes the Center for Arts Education's most advanced students: Rachel Traub, Zach Roberts and Gwen Mileti (Torrington). Isabella Panagakos, Shanna Shotwell (Winsted),Joey Calabrese, Emma Avery (Harwinton),Alia Miller, Emma Seyer (New Hartford),Noah Boisvert (Bristol),Isabella Riccio (Cheshire) and Jeremy Piontkewicz (Goshen).

Performances are Friday, May 17 at 8pm, Saturday, May 18 at 8pm and Sunday, May 19 at 2pm; Tickets for performances are $12.50 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org
