The Ivoryton Playhouse Will Host An Irish Evening

On August 12th at 7pm for one night only, join playhouse favorites, Michael McDermott and Kathleen Mulready, in an evening of songs and stories from the Emerald Isle. From Ireland's greatest hero, Fionn Mac Cumhaill, to the magical mysteries of the shamrock, take a journey through the highways and byways with such great songs as, "The Rocky Road To Dublin", "That's An Irish Lullaby", "Star Of The County Down", "Kerry Dance", "Danny Boy" and many more! Listen to the stories of the mischievous Pookas and let the magic of the fairies carry us into the last of the long days of summer!

Michael and Kathleen will be joined by Billy Bivona on guitar, Celeste Cumming on cello, David Jarkey on piano, Andrew Thomson on bodhran and ullieann pipes and Victoria Wepler on the fiddle. The performance will be followed by a reception under the tent- so head on down to the Ivoryton Playhouse for a little bit of the luck and lore of the Irish!

Tickets are $25 ($20 for students) for all ages (18 and older) and are available by calling the Playhouse box office at 860-767-7318 or by visiting our website at www.ivorytonplayhouse.org
