The Hartt School at the University of Hartford presents a multi-divisional collaboration of Rodger's and Hart's classic musical tribute to the world of dance, ON YOUR TOES, opening tonight, October 22nd, 2014.

Gangsters, vaudeville and the Russian Ballet come together in this riotous, romantic musical romp. With a magnificent score by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart, featuring such musical theatre classic's as THERE'S A SMALL HOTEL and SLAUGHTER ON TENTH AVENUE, this spectacular production will be a collaboration of the Theatre Division, The Dance Division and the Instrumental Studies Division of the Hartt School. Hartt Dance Division Director Stephen Pier and Ralph Perkins, Director of Dance for the Theatre Division, will choreograph this valentine to the world of dance. Edward Cumming, The Hartt School's Mary Primrose Fuller Chair of Orchestral Conducting will conduct the Hartt School Symphony Orchestra and Hartt Theatre Division Director, Alan Rust, will direct the production.

This extraordinary musical combining the best of the American Musical Theatre and classical Russian Ballet is not often seen. It requires the talents of highly skilled performing artists such as those being trained at The Hartt School.
