The Bijou Theatre presents their second main stage production, Stephen Sondheim's Assassins! Shows run for two weekends in November - the 7th & 8th at 8pm, the 14th at 8pm, the 15th at 3pm & 8pm, and the 16th at 5pm. Tickets are $23 for theatre seats and $28 for table seating. Special theatre seat pricing for students/seniors at $18.

Based on the book by John Weidman with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Assassins examines the motivations of the men and women who have killed -- or attempted to kill -- United States Presidents throughout history. We follow the likes of John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley and others as they meet and interact in this multiple Tony-winning revue-style musical.

Assassins is directed by Kevin Pelkey with musical direction by Jerold Goldstein. It stars Marc Improta, Bill Adams, Lauren Linn, Bill Warncke, Dan Travers, Juan Ayala, Mike Mele, Renee Kay, Garth West, Ben McCormack, Lisa Dahlstrom, Everton Ricketts, Ryan Shea, Heather Abrado, & Ava Gallo as they take on the minds and motivations of these notorious US assassins.

The Bijou Theatre, one of the oldest buildings in the country used as a movie house, reopened its doors in 2011. In addition to continuing its historic character of showing movies, the Theatre offers a full repertoire of live music, comedy, theater and dance, which can be enjoyed in either theater seating or cabaret style. The Bijou Theatre is a multi-functional venue with integrity and an open-minded philosophy. A symposium for film, theatre, art, comedy and music.

The Bijou Performing Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing visual and performing arts programs and events for the community. The Bijou Performing Arts Center offers educational programs in Dance though New England Ballet, Music & Theatre, as well as special events and live theatre performances.
