SUNSET BOULEVARD Enters Final Weekend at the Warner

By:

This is the final weekend for Andrew Lloyd Weber's seven-time Tony award–winning musical, Sunset Boulevard at the Warner Theatre.

Based on the Billy Wilder film, Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of "talkies", silent movie star Norma Desmond (played by Marilyn Olsen) longs for a return to the big screen. By the time she meets struggling Hollywood screenwriter Joe Gillis (Dan Porri), the glitz and glamour of her Hollywood life has faded in all but her mind. Their passionate and volatile relationship leads to an unforeseen and tragic curtain call, perfectly captured by Andrew Lloyd Webber's sweeping score including "With One Look" and "As if We never Said Goodbye".

The Warner Stage Company production will be Directed and Choreographed by Sharon Wilcox with Music Director, Aaron J. Bunel and Musical Staging by Foster Evans Reese. Other cast members include: Dan Porri as Joe Gillis, John Lino Ponzini as Max, Erin O'Launaigh as Betty Schaefer and Joe Harding as Ceil B. DeMille.

Performance dates are Friday, Nov 9 at 8pm,Saturday, Nov.10 at 8pm, and Sunday, Nov 11 at 2pm. Tickets are $20 / $26 / $33.50 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org
