Westport Community Theatre presents its Summer 2013: Superstition one-act play festival. FREE to all tonight, July 12, and tomorrow, July 13 at 8 PM. Jointly produced by Westport Community Theatre and Milford's Eastbound Theatre.

For the sixth straight year, Westport Community Theatre and Milford's Eastbound Theatre present an audience favorite - a popular summer festival of new one-act plays that are FREE: Summer 2013: Superstition.

It's a great evening of new, Contemporary Theatre; running time is approximately 80 minutes, so it makes a perfect ending - or beginning - of a summer evening. And the theatre's air-conditioning makes it an even more enticing evening entertainment this July!

You'll also have an opportunity to vote for your favorite one-act play - the winner will appear at the Stratford Festival, July 31 - August 4! Join us for refreshments afterwards as the votes are tallied...

"The Basic 7" by Mark Troy of Burbank, CA, finds a couple who look to spice up their personal life by breaking the seven deadly sins. The play opens after their first attempt at shoplifting.
Directed by Bryna Kearney, the play features Chris Peterson and Katie Bock.

"A Home for Mason" by FrEd Roberts of New Orleans, LA, follows a couple who unexpectedly receive The Remains of a forgotten uncle, and struggle with the action they should take.
Directed by Michael Shavel, the play features Barry Hatrick, Amy Brandstatter, Tom Rushen and Natalie Osbourne.

"Stones" by Mark Cornell of Chapel Hill, NC, introduces us to two very different young people who find a common ground that neither had anticipated.
Directed by Kevin McNair, the play features Matt Guttierez and Maddy Harvey.

"Subtlety" by Michael Weems of Houston, TX, finds a young woman competing in a crossword competition. But is she finding omens in the clues, or is there a simpler explanation?
Directed by Ann Baker, the play features Alex Weston and Jennifer Ju.

"What a Fool Believes" by Michelle T. Johnson of Kansas City, KS, follows the conversation of a young couple whose life decisions may be too influenced by the music they hear.
Directed by Tom Rushen, the play features Sarah Springer, Alex Weston and Natalie Osbourne.
