Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at Downtown Cabaret Theatre
Head to Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport for Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and you won't be disappointed. The musical is based on the 90s comedy flick, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and follows the journey of three friends, Tick/Mitzi (Jason Parry), Bernadette (Lance Anthony) and Adam/Felicia (Tim Rinaldi) as they take their drag act to the remote Australian outback.
As they hop aboard a bus (playfully named Priscilla), they set off on a wild adventure where they get into trouble with the locals, find love, and uncover just who they really are - and how much they mean to one another.
And all of this is accomplished while donning glitzy costumes and singing popular hits, such as "It's Raining Men," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and "I Will Survive." It's a fun show with a heartening message and one that's not to miss.
Catch Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at Downtown Cabaret Theatre until May 20th.
