Playhouse on Park to Welcome Broadway Guest Artists for Adult Master Classes
Learn from Broadway stars this summer at Playhouse on Park! Ron Todorowski, currently in the cast of FINDING NEVERLAND, and Broadway veteran Susan Haefner will each offer a two-hour master class for students ages 16 and up.
The Broadway Dance Master Class will be offered on July 13 from 7 - 9 pm, led by Ron Todorowski. The class will begin with a yoga warm up, proceed to a technique portion, then Ron will guide students in a Broadway style combination. He will also talk to them about his experiences as a professional dancer and answer any questions they may have.
Ron Todorowski's Broadway credits include FiNDING NEVERLAND, COME FLY AWAY, WICKED, GUYS AND DOLLS, THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN, MOVIN' OUT, and FOOTLOOSE. He starred in London's West End production and first national tour of MOVIN' OUT playing the role of Eddie where he received a Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor in a musical. Ron's been a member of Twyla Tharp Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, The Parsons Dance Company, Mia Michaels "RAW" and guested for many others.
The Triple Threat Audition Master Class will be offered on July 20 from 7 - 9 pm, led by Susan Haefner. Students will participate in a mock Broadway song, dance, and scene audition followed by feedback for each student. There will be time at the end of the class for additional discussion.
Susan Haefner has appeared in the Broadway Productions of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, STATE FAIR, and 42ND STREET. Her national tour credits include DAMN YANKEES w/ Jerry Lewis and BILLY ELLIOT. She recently appeared in THE DINING ROOM at Playhouse on Park, and directed/choreographed THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE.
