Playhouse on Park to Host Directing Workshop for Middle, High School Teachers
If you are a middle school or high school teacher interested in theatre direction at your school and would like to brush up on your skills, now's your chance!
Playhouse on Park is inviting individuals to sign up for directing class for Teachers this summer with Sean Harris, the co-founder and artistic director. The workshop is a 6 hour directing class that covers topics including choosing shows, running auditions, rehearsal techniques, coaching students to become better actors, blocking, designing the show, working with student stage managers, and collaborating with musical directors, among many other exciting topics! The overall goal is to help you feel comfortable guiding students to their best performance.
The workshop is a two-part series that will be held on Tuesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 18th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Hall High School. The cost is $125, per person. Advanced registration is required.
