Playhouse on Park Presents GO DOG. GO!, Opening 4/7

By:

Beginning on April 7th, Playhouse on Park will be presenting the final show in its 2011-2012 Young Audiences series, "Go, Dog. Go!"

Based on the beloved children's book by P.D. Eastman, "Go, Dog. Go!" is fun and whimsical cabaret filled with acrobatics, music, and physical comedy. Six agile actors star as the energetic pups in this lively stage production that brings the spirit of the book to life with a joyful, colorful, and genuine nature that both children and adults will appreciate. Adults will reconnect with the magic and wonder of their childhood while children will enjoy the celebration of friendship and youthful exuberance!

Directed by Playhouse on Park Director of Education, Dawn Loveland, "Go, Dog. Go!" stars a host of Connecticut talents and Playhouse on Park favorites such as West Hartford's Hillary Ekwall and Victoria MooneyAmanda Forker of Wethersfield, Jaime Morano of Middletown, and Ted D'Agostino of Norwich, as well as George Platis of New Jersey.

The show is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long and recommended for ages 4 and up. In addition, following each performance, you and your young theatergoer can meet the cast in the lobby and/or enjoy a meal with them at dining partner, AC Petersen Farms Family Restaurant next door. Plus while you're there, children will be treated to a FREE kids ice cream with the purchase of a kids meal!

To add to the fun, kids can also have their artwork displayed in The Playhouse lobby. Download any (or all) of the coloring pages available on our website, then bring them along to The Playhouse to have it showcased in our lobby thoroughout the run of "Go Dog. Go!" (make sure to include the child's name).
