Paul Anka to Play Ridgefield Playhouse, 5/13

By:
The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ethan Allen Hotel present the legendary singer and songwriter Paul Anka with a night of unforgettable, chart topping hits, including "My Way," "Put Your Head on My Shoulder," "Lonely Boy," "She's a Lady," and "(You're) Having My Baby," and many more! Paul Anka will sing his way through the decades on Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity and Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series.

Anka got his start as a teen idol in the 1950s, and in the years since he's written songs for Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Connie Francis, Tom Jones and countless others, along with penning the unforgettable theme to The Tonight Show. His later achievements as a recording artist included "Hold Me 'Til the Morning Comes,", the Spanish-language album Amigos, and Body of Work. It was revealed upon its release in 2009, that Anka co-wrote Michael Jackson's posthumous #1 worldwide hit, "This Is It." Anka's last two albums - Rock Swings and Classic Songs, My Way - ingeniously featured songs originally created by some of the biggest rock performers of the day. Paul Anka's live performances are energetic and lively, as he serenades his audiences and shows what a true showman he is! Don't miss this rare chance to experience one of music's greatest entertainers in an intimate setting. This event is partially underwritten by 109 Cheese and Wine, Adam Broderick Salon and Spa, Miller Motorcars, Nature's Temptations and Nutmeg Livery with additional support from Bruce Bennett Nissan.

For tickets ($135 Orchestra, $125 Balcony & Mezzanine), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
