Pantochino Productions, Connecticut's brand new ridiculously entertaining theatre company, has launched an online fundraising campaign via Kickstarter to bring theatre for the entire family to New Haven. If successful, producers Bert Bernardi and Jimmy Johansmeyer will open an original musical in October.

"New Haven is a wonderful, culturally diverse city with all kinds of arts programming," said Bernardi, "What's missing is a theatre for young audiences and their families," he added.

The first production, and the focus of the Kickstarter campaign is "Cinderella Skeleton, the Musical" based on the award-winning book by Robert D. San Souci. The musical is written by Mr. Bernardi (book and lyrics) and composer Scott Simonelli. "Its a wildly imaginative take on the classic Cinderella story that appeals to audiences of all ages" said Johansmeyer. An unusual venue in downtown New Haven has been chosen for the production, and will be revealed should the fundraising campaign become a success. "This is a great opportunity, not only for New Haven, but for audiences, actors, designers, technician--It's the launch of what we hope will become a permanent fixture in the Connecticut theatre scene," said Bernardi.

The goal is to raise $15,000.00 or more, by Friday July 8th. Already, the Kickstarter campaign is 74% funded. "We're so very grateful for the generous pledges thus far," said Johansmeyer. A promotional video can be seen on Kickstarter and explains the campaign, the goals and the show. It is viewable at the following link:
