Opera House Players Announces Move to Enfield

Opera House Players Announces Move to Enfield Image

After 15 unforgettable seasons in Broad Brook, the Opera House Players is thrilled to announce that later this year we'll be returning to our original home town of Enfield, CT!

We've loved every moment of our time in Broad Brook, and we're so thankful for the continued support of our patrons, volunteers, and sponsors in this community. As you may be aware, the Opera House building is for sale; although we have explored several options, there was no realistic way to make this our permanent home.

Our new space, located in the heart of Enfield, will allow us to grow and thrive while we continue--and expand upon--our mission of providing high-quality, affordable musical theatre in our community. Our new home is conveniently located off I-91, which will make it even easier for our patrons throughout Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts to reach us. We're excited for you to come see our new home; we hope you'll let us entertain you for many years to come!

Stay tuned to our website and social media for updates and more information on our upcoming move. And please join us for our final two productions here in Broad Brook: Sister Act (February 9-25) and Parade (May 4-20).

The Opera House Players was formed in 1968, and is one of the longest-running community theatres in the area among groups that exclusively produce musical theatre. The group spent 35 years in Enfield, CT, as the St. Martha Players, before moving to the historic Broad Brook Opera House in 2003 and becoming the Opera House Players.

The Opera House Players produces four full-scale musical productions each year, featuring actors, actresses, directors, and technicians from Central Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas. The group has won numerous awards, including three Massachusetts Critic's Circle Awards for Best Musical of the Year.
