Nat Chandler and Terri Hansen to Lead Rodgers and Hammerstein Celebration, 2/4

By:

Broadway's Nat Chandler (The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Phantom of the Opera) and Teri Dale Hansen (Showboat, Boys from Syracuse) will appear in concert with Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra on February 4th, 2012. The duo will perform Rodgers and Hammerstein Celebration (produced by Broadway Pops International) featuring Broadway fans' favorite songs from the classic musicals South Pacific, The Sound of Music, State Fair, Oklahoma!, Carousel and The King & I. Special guest, Andy Hammerstein, starts this star-studded evening off with a pre-concert lecture at 7:00pm.

This performance will take place at Ridgefield High School at the Anne Richardson Auditorium (700 North Salem Road Ridgefield, CT). Visit http://www.ridgefieldsymphony.org/directions/#Richardson for directions to the venue. Tickets may be purchased online up to noon on the performance day, by visiting https://www.choicesecure03.net/mainapp/eventschedule.aspx?clientid=ridgefield&prod=11HS4.

One of Ridgefield’s cultural treasures, the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) performed its debut concert on April 4, 1965 and became a fully professional ensemble in 1968. Since then, the orchestra has continuously grown in size and in the quality of its performances and attracts appreciative audiences from as far as 50-100 miles away. Performances at Richardson Auditorium feature an orchestra with 70-90 musicians, depending on the music that has been programmed. Concerts at the Ridgefield Playhouse use a chamber-sized orchestra of 20 to 30 musicians. The musicians come to Ridgefield from more than 30 different communities and are well respected orchestra players throughout the greater New York and New England area. http://www.ridgefieldsymphony.org/
