The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport, CT is proud to announce a Special Benefit Performance of Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway, the number one Broadway touring concert in the United States. It has played in over 120 cities a year, for the past decade and now, it's coming to Bridgeport!
Created by the nationally celebrated composer and musical director, Neil Berg, the show features an evening of Broadway songs such as: Music in the Night, All That Jazz, The Impossible Dream, This is the Moment, Some Enchanted Evening, Cabaret, Buenos Aires/Don't Cry For My Argentina, and many others classics sung by today's top Broadway stars. According to Tony Stimac, the Bijou's new Artistic Director, "Everyone does Broadway songs. What elevates 100 Years is that it captures the songs in the context of the show that spawned them with all of their power meaning and expressiveness intact. What could be better than making a tax-deductible contribution to this historic theatre while seeing a production that packs the best of Broadway into one stellar evening. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Bijou Theatre's Capital Campaign. Funds will be used "To Make The Lights Brighter On Fairfield Avenue". The campaign goal is to raise $500,000 by July 1st in a series of benefit performances and events that will be unique in the theatre world and feature some of Broadway's brightest stars.reception.
