Music Theatre of Connecticut Welcomes Leslie Orofino Tonight

Music Theatre of Connecticut presents actress/singer Leslie Orofino for one night only with her hit show, "Red Hot and Blues." The performance will take place on tonight, June 20 at 8pm at The Melissa and Doug Theatre at Music Theatre of Connecticut, 509 Westport Avenue (Route One, behind Jones New York and Nine West in Norwalk, CT. In "Red Hot and Blues," Ms. Orofino sings the songs of vamps, tramps, heartbreakers, mantakers and the girl next door... songs made famous by Alberta Hunter, Eartha Kitt, Peggy Lee, Carolyn Leigh, Sophie Tucker and many more. Ms. Orofino will be accompanied by legendary musicians Daryl Kojak on piano and John Loerhke on bass. Louis Pietig is director.

Ms. Orofino has been enchanting sold out audiences with her sultry voice from New York City's legendary Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room to Napa Valley's Silverado Country Club for the last two decades. Her nightclub engagements include the Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza Hotel and Danny's Skylight Room. Miss Orofino's musical theatre credits include the MTC MainStage production of "Nite Club Confidential" at Westport Country Playhouse. Her other New York credits include Reno Sweeney in "Anything Goes," Miss Hannigan in "Annie" and Mother Abbess in "The Sound of Music." Her CDs include "Moonlight Cocktails."
