Music Theatre of Connecticut School of the Performing Arts presents "Doctor Dolittle." The production will take place on Friday, May 10 at 7:30pm and Saturday, May 11 at 2pm at Long Lots School, Hyde Lane in Westport, CT. "Doctor Dolittle" is an original musical adaptation with book adapted by Deborah Levy and original music and lyrics by MTC Co-founder Kevin Connors. The story follows the famous doctor who can talk to the animals and their rescue of the once thought extinct Pushmi-Pullyu. There are lots of adventures along the way and a cast of very interesting and colorful characters. The musical is a fully staged and costumed production performed by MTC students, ages seven and up. Directed by Deborah Levy, with costume design by Diane Vanderkroef, set design by Eric Zobeck, musical direction and choreography by Alyson Cahill, and Alison Gentry as assistant to the director. The cast of "Doctor Dolittle" is comprised of MTC School of the Performing Arts students.
