Live performances lend themselves to the possibility of the unexpected happening, and Marilyn Maye & Houston Person, two of the very best in cabaret and jazz, promise an evening of the unexpected when they perform on the HARMAN Stage on Wednesday, January 22nd at 8 p.m. Maye and Person perform as the grand finale of the Broadway/Cabaret/Jazz Series: Perfect Pairs at The Palace sponsored by Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown. Tickets may be purchased at www.SCAlive.org.

In the "Perfect Pairs" series, audience members literally share the stage with the best performers in the business - sitting at candle-lit tables right on The Palace's historic stage.

Cabaret legend Marilyn Maye, now 85 years young, has garnered high praise from the likes of Johnny Carson and Ella Fitzgerald. She appeared 76 times on The Tonight Show with Mr. Carson and has dazzled audiences around the country with her quick wit, unique phrasing and show-stopping voice, all the while making audience members feel as if they were old friends.

Jazz saxophonist Houston Person's resume reads like a "Who's Who" of jazz. Mr. Person has recorded more than 74 albums as bandleader, and he played and recorded with the likes of Etta Jones, Lena Horne and many others. LondonJazz called Mr. Person "a peerless musician who is also a thoroughly engaging entertainer."

"It's the chance of a lifetime, isn't it?" remarked BT McNicholl, The Palace's Producing Artistic Director. "To be up close with two of the most sought after musicians in the business? We couldn't have asked for a more inspired finale to this year's cabaret series, which has exceeded everyone's expectations. Bring on the songs, sung and played like we'll never forget ... and never get again."

Tickets for Perfect Pairs at The Palace: Marilyn Maye & Houston Person on January 22nd at 8 p.m. cost $65 & $50 and can be purchased online at www.SCAlive.org or charged by phone with major credit cards by calling the Palace Box Office at 203-325-4466.
