Long Wharf Theatre's Next Stage Program to Present THE BOY AT THE EDGE OF EVERYTHING, 5/22-24

By:

Long Wharf Theatre presents its upcoming Next Stage production of The Boy at the Edge of Everything, by Finegan Kruckemeyer, directed by Artistic Resident Emily Breeze, May 22nd at 7:30PM, May 23rd at 11AM and 2PM and May 24th at 2PM.

There is a $5.00 suggested donation for admittance. The performance will be in Stage II.

The cast includes LaTanza Marie Britts, Kendall Driffin, Constantino Fernandez, Jesse Gabbard and Levi Squier.

12-year-old Simon longs for space. Between music lessons, soccer, and karate (not to mention school!) he can't find the chance to just be. Meanwhile, at the edge of the universe lives a Boy, lonely and bored. When their worlds collide via a meditation tank rocket-ship and lots and lots of fireworks, neither will ever be the same. An imaginative journey through space and time, The Boy at the Edge of Everything is a wisecracking, charming play.

Breeze states "It's a crazy cool adventure story, but one that magnifies our daily struggles onto a fantastical world. I think too often, we're too busy with what we're doing to know what we want. We don't give ourselves enough space and time to just be, because sometimes having Nothing can be scarier than filling each moment with Everything. This play asks the audience to travel to the furthest most reaches of imagination in order to explore what we value in our own lives".

The Next Stage program is a residency for early career theatre professionals. The creative team includes David Schimmelman (sets), Kristi Kuligowski (lights), Nathan Garnsey (costumes), Lindsey Wagner (sound), Alysea White (props), Max Hunt (marketing/assistant stage manager), and Colin Bieker (stage manager).
