Litchfield Hills Film Festival Set for This Weekend at the Warner Theatre

By:

The Litchfield Hills Film Festival will take place this weekend in its new permanent home at the Warner Theatre. Since the first Kent Film Festival in March of 2006, this grassroots celebration of independent film has steadily grown into a much-anticipated Litchfield County event.

Close to 100 films will be screened from Thursday, June 28- Sunday July1 including features, documentaries and shorts. The Festival is thrilled to announce the Sneak Peek of Company Retreat at the 2012 Festival in Torrington, written and directed by acclaimed actor/director Campbell Scott. The screening will take place on Saturday, June 30 at 7:30 PM at the Warner Theatre. Mr. Scott will be in attendance to host a Q & A to follow. The film was shot in Torrington and Campbell is very excited to show it where it was created.

Screening venues will include the Warner Theatre' s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre, Torrington City Hall Auditorium and a Main Street "POP-UP" theatre. Tickets for the event are $9 for an individual screening, $29 for an all day pass and $99 for a 4 day pass and access to all of the screenings. For more information and a film schedule, visit the Warner website at www.warnertheatre.org or hillsfilmfestival.org.
