Join Playhouse On Park For The West Hartford Food Pantry!

The spirit of giving doesn't have to end with the holiday season. The West Hartford Food Pantry, managed by our friends and fellow beneficiaries of the Mayor's Charity Ball, The Town The Cares, is entering one of their toughest months of the year. Partner with Playhouse on Park in collecting non-perishable food items for the West Hartford Food Pantry during the entire month of January.
Whether you're at the Playhouse for our next Main Stage production, Murder For Two, opening January 16, or just in the neighborhood, stop by with your donation for those less fortunate. The pantry's most needed items include: rice, pasta, canned soup, canned vegetables and beans, cereal and oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly, tuna and canned meat, canned fruit, canned meals, and healthy snacks and drinks. The food pantry cannot accept expired, opened or perishable items.
The Town That Cares is a special fund established by The Town of West Hartford's Department of Human and Leisure Services. The fund assists residents experiencing a crisis situation hindering their ability to pay for food, utility bills, shelter costs, medical expenses and other critical needs. It is funded 100% by contributions from generous individuals, businesses and community groups. The West Hartford Food Pantry has been helping residents in need for over 30 years, and more than 800 households benefited from the food pantry last year.
The box office is open Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-2pm, and 2 hours prior to curtain. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT 06119. For more information, call the box office at 860-523-5900 x10, or visit our website www.playhouseonpark.org.
