Hartt Hosts Showcase of Music, Dance And Theater 2/18-19

The Hartt School of the University of Hartford proudly presents its annual Collage Concert on Friday and Saturday, February 18 and 19, at 7:30 PM in Lincoln Theater, on the University of Hartford's West Hartford campus, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford. A unique opportunity to experience the full range of performing arts disciplines in one evening, the Collage Concert features talented students from all of Hartt's performing Divisions. Tickets (general admission) are free but required, and may be obtained in person at the University of Hartford Box Office in Lincoln Theater, or by calling the Box Office at 860.768.4228 or 800.274.8587 to reserve. At Hartt's Collage Concert, there is something for everyone:

Theatre: Enjoy performances by Hartt's outstanding Theatre Division students as they present excerpts of plays and musicals, including Summer of '42, Oklahoma!, and Children of Eden.
Dance: The Dance Division presents both classical ballet and modern choreographic work, one of which will be accompanied by members of Hartt's honors chamber music ensemble Performance 20/20.
Instrumental Music: Hartt Symphony Orchestra, Hartt Wind Ensemble, Hartt Percussion Ensemble, Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, and other smaller groups will present a diverse repertoire including the overture to Candide and "Bolcom Sax 4tet."
Vocal Music: Vocal performances for the evening include songs by two of Hartt's choral ensembles and an excerpt from Humperdinck's beloved opera Hansel and Gretel.

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
