The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs is instructing a whole new generation to "Unpack Your Adjectives" and "Do The Circulations."  Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved "Schoolhouse Rock" songs as "Just A Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction."  SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE is a nostalgic and educational experience for the whole family.

Based on the ABC-TV educational animated series, SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE features music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe.

The cast of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE includes Jim Nassef as "Tom," Christopher Cavallo as "Joe," Justin Boudreau as "George," Emely Larson as "Dori," Meagan MacLeod as "Dina" and Tori Mooney as "Shulie."  Caitlin Sailer choreographs and serves as the female swing.

The mission of Hartford Children's Theatre is to enrich the lives of the children of Greater Hartford and surrounding communities by providing access and exposure to high quality theatre for young audiences and related educational opportunities.  Executive Director Dulcie Giadone, Artistic Director Ryan Ratelle and Education Director Lisa Foss helm the organization now entering its 21st year.
