Gen Delkescamp Named Palace Theater Volunteer of the Year

The Palace Theater recently recognized Gen Delkescamp, of Waterbury as Volunteer of the Year for 2019. Delkescamp has been a member of the Palace Guard, the volunteer corps at the venue, for fifteen years, since opening day in November of 2004. Elected by her peers for the honor of Volunteer of the Year, Delkescamp has been an exemplary volunteer usually exceeding the minimum time requirement, that of working ten shows or events. In spite of some personal hardship this season, she admirably met that benchmark. Additional criterion that must be met as well to be considered for Volunteer of the Year a candidate must have completed one year of volunteer service; be cooperative and committed; go above and beyond to fulfill the needs of working the front of house to enhance the patron's experience; be a team player with good interpersonal skills and an engaging personality.
