Crystal Theatre Presents, LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM 11/29-11/20
By: Erik Smith
"America, open your arms to a poor wandering soul." These opening lyrics set the tone for this epic musical adventure. Set in 1907 (the peak immigration year), this sweeping musical tracks the lives of two Irish immigrant couples as they struggle to make a life for themselves in New York City.
The story unfolds against a backdrop of the fight for women's suffrage and the contrasting lifestyles of the super rich and New York's underclass.
Performed by Crystal Theatre's High School/Adult Class. Tickets can be purchsed online at www.crystaltheatre.org $12 Adults, $10 Seniors & $7 Children under 16. All Performances take place at the Ben Franklin Theater: 66 Bayview Ave. South Norwalk, 06854 Visit www.crystaltheatre.org for directions.
