Crystal Theatre Announces the 2017 Matthew Chiappetta Memorial Scholarship
The 2017 Matthew Chiappetta Memorial Scholarship is for students in Grades 5th - 8th. The winner receives 2 Crystal Theatre classes and 1 Crystal Theatre Camp!

The scholarship was established in memory of Crystal Theatre student Matthew Chiappetta who passed away in 2004. This scholarship celebrates the memory and spirit of Matt and his love for Crystal Theatre.
Open to 5th - 8th grade students
Applying for the scholarship requires the following:
- A completed Application An Essay
- An Audition
- An Interview
- Applicant may bring an OPTIONAL song to sing at the audition
Prepare a scene from one of the following shows:
(scenes are available for download when you apply)
- Perseus: Perseus/Andromeda
- The Snow Queen: Kai/Gerda
- Whistleville: George Hirst/Robin Brennan
Essays and form submissions are due by Thursday, March 2, 2017 by 8:00pm
Interviews/Auditions will be held at Crystal Theatre at Ben Franklin Center 66 Bayview Ave. Norwalk, CT on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm
The winner of the scholarship will be announced at the Matthew Chiappetta Memorial Concert on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:00pm at Crystal Theatre at Ben Franklin Center. The scholarship winner MUST be available to attend the concert.
The money raised from the Bowling event and concert will fund the Matthew Chiappetta Scholarship.
Crystal Theatre, it is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that has provided musical theater education to students grades Pre-K through high school in Fairfield County, CT and surrounding towns for almost 30 years.
