Hartford Symphony Orchestra and Goodspeed Musicals join to celebrate the music and the magic of Goodspeed's golden 50th anniversary. This special collaboration features selections from Goodspeed originals that moved to Broadway including Annie and Man of La Mancha plus audience favorites from dozens of shows like 1776Show Boat, and Brigadoon

This concert event will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at The Bushnell. Led by guest conductor Michael O'Flaherty who is now in his 20th year as Resident Music Director for Goodspeed Musicals, the program will feature the talents of HSO's 65 member orchestra as well as performances by special guest artists to be announced soon.

"We are thrilled to kick off Goodspeed's year-long celebration of our 50th anniversary with this one of a kind concert event," said Michael Price, Executive Director of Goodspeed Musicals.  "It's a rare occasion when two of CT's cultural treasures join together, but when they do, the result is a magical collaboration that will be remembered for many years to come."
