Broadway veteran Carolyn Kirsch will teach a Fosse Master Class at Hartford Stage Rehearsal Studios at 942 Main Street from 12 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, June 21.

Under the guidance of Kirsch, students aged 10 through 18 will explore the signature style of Bob Fosse - who helmed such classic Broadway shows as Chicago, Pippin, Sweet Charity, and Damn Yankees

Carolyn Kirsch appeared in 15 Broadway shows over a 21-year period and was one of the first teachers in the country to be sanctioned by The Verdon-Fosse Estate to teach the Fosse Technique. Her many credits include the original cast of A Chorus Line, as well as Chicago (with Bob Fosse), How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Sweet Charity, and Promises, Promises. Kirsch is an active member of the New York-based "Dancers Over 40" and serves as the Musical Theatre Department Chair of the Center for Creative Youth at Wesleyan.

The cost for the class is $60. Previous dance experience is recommended. For more information, contact Erin Frederick, Education Program and Marketing Coordinator, at 860-520-7244 or efrederick@hartfordstage.org.
